For those that are anxiously anticipating the announced Duke Nukem Trilogy games for the Nintendo DS and PSP here is a fresh news bit from the developer about it;

Apogee1 said;
Both the DS and PSP versions of the game are coming along nicely. On the DS side the graphics are blowing the socks off everyone who sees it (those lucky few outside the company that have seen it), and on the PSP, they say the depth of view is the best they have seen to date for that device. Development is proceeding at a feverish pace on both systems. There has been implementation of some unique features specific to each system that owners will be glad to see. We are also including some cool bonus game play features that we haven?t spoken about that we feel will enhance the overall way the game is played. That?s all we can say for now, other than stay tuned, more info in greater detail is on the way!

marioman360, member of the 3D Realms boards, has started to work on a platformgame in Mario-style featuring the Duke. You can play the game here, comments can be posted in this thread on the 3D Realms boards. Only the first level is done but the game looks quite promising.

Lycos Europe, the current webhost of this website, has made an arrangement with the webhost Strato for a special offer on a new webhost service for Lycos members plus a free moving and setup service. I have accepted the offer and have already setup my new Strato account. Once I know when the moving will take place I will post it here.

Oh, and as a nice Christmas present from 3D Realms, here is a nice generic Gears of War Duke Nukem Forever wallpaper.

D4E's webhost going down next year. Posted on: November 28, 2008 - 4:25 pm

Lycos Europe, the webhost of this website, has recently announced that they will cease to exist somewhere in 2009 due to the heavy economical weather the world is currently in. Their hosted domainnames will be brought under another company but the webhosting services will cease to exist. This simply means that I am forced to find another webhost for my 2 websites including an unannounced third one.

The official explanation of Lycos Europe is available in Dutch here, or in English here.

Leaving aside the fact that this site hasn't had much updates in the past several months I would like to make perfectly clear that I am not going to simply give up this site.

Any further updates regarding this will be posted as soon as possible.

As many Xbox 360 users are awaiting the release of Duke Nukem 3D for their console it's recently came to light that the game has been banned in Japan because it received an Adult Only rating. Unfortunately, but more expectedly, the same goes for Germany.

Unfortunate news. At the 11th hour Duke 3D for XBLA has been banned in Japan. It received the equivalent of an adult only rating. I'm told nothing can be done.
George Broussard said;
Germany has it on the ban list, too, unfortunately. That was sort of expected.
Source of these posts can be found in this thread over at the 3D Realms forums.

George recently started to use Twitter which, as he tells it himself, "I may start using this thing for small random dev updates or whatever". Check out his personal page on Twitter here or the topic about it on the 3D Realms forums here..

For the unknowing, Duke Nukem 3D for Xbox Live Arcade is scheduled to be released next Tuesday.
